TACE played a key role in delivering the design of a high-capacity, high-frequency interchange
Enhancing connectivity and passenger comfort, the new interchange includes a fully accessible, covered concourse with seating and 18 bus stands, supporting a high-frequency service with the capacity for 164 departures per hour.
Adjacent to the interchange is a residential development comprising 196 homes. This project is a joint venture between Stockport Council, Transport for Greater Manchester, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, delivered in partnership with the developer CityRise.
We took over the design at RIBA Stage 3, conducted a thorough review and redesign, and continued to through to handover.
